What an exciting day!

Finally, today we met our professional and experienced coaches from SAP and the lovely students from TBS Paris campus.  They will be with us for these four days , thus it is a great opportunity for us to get inspiration from them and to be a part of this exhilarating project.

Ms. Florence Mathieu and Mr. Benjamin Nussbaumer  are experts in design thinking from D. School Paris,  and they  gave us brief introduction and examples about design thinking process.  D. School is a commonly known name of The Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford and is a Design Thinking institute based in Stanford University.

As we all know, traditional design process mostly includes four steps: Need-finding, brainstorming, prototyping and testing. However  today, we learned Design Thinking consists of five steps of  Empathising, Defining, Ideating, Prototyping and Testing. Essentially, the key idea in Design Thinking process is when you design new things, try to put yourself into users’ shoes, seek for what they really need and what we can do to make their lives better. By contrast, traditional design process focuses more on customers’ opinions, the way to sell them to market and profits that can be made.

During this brainstorming, our coach emphasized – “There are no good or bad ideas, all ideas are good”! But what we need to do is to dig deeply inside , find the most attractive one and  implement it  to real life.

Today is just the first day, we will have more time to explore and to work with these professionals.

Let’s enjoy!
