Hey Guys ! Maxime here. Today I will teach you how to cook something called « Tartiflette » for all the cheese and potatoes lovers. First of all you have to know that it is best to eat this during winter since it warms up the belly. It is quite easy to do and takes 1h to do, the ingredients doesn’t cost a lot. The amount of ingredients will be for 1 person, feel free to adjust the quantity with the number of person.
For this recipe you’ll need a knife, a tomato shovel, a stove, a bowl, a lid and finally an oven.
For the ingredients you’ll need 5/16 kg of potatoes, 1/4 reblochon, 7 to 8 onions, 2.5 cl of white wine from Savoie (Apremont if possible), 4 cl of cream, 62.5 g of smoked bacon, Salt, Pepper.
Cook the potatoes in water for 20 minutes, then peel and slice.
Slice the onions and cook them witha little butter.
Add the bacon and leave to return to a low heat (about ten minutes) stirring regularly.
Prepare a baking dish (I use a round terracotta dish 40 cm in diameter, 10 cm high). Rub the bottom of the dish generously with a clove of garlic.
Arrange the dish in three layers: cover the bottom of the dish with half the potatoes, then add the onion and bacon mixture, finally add over the rest of the potatoes.
Pour over the white wine and the cream. Pepper (quite copiously) and salt (slightly).
Preheat oven to 190 ° C (thermostat 6-7).
Scrape the reblochons, cut them in half in thickness and lay them (crusted side up) on top of the potatoes.
Bake for about 20 minutes (I put the oven in “rotating heat” + grill).
When serving (in the baking dish), sprinkle with a little chopped parsley.
This unique dish is eatenaccompanied by the wine used for the recipe.
Here you go you can now serve your dish. Bon appétit !
