Traveling to Spain is Great on a Student Budget

If you are trying to have the best view, spend little time and cost-effective money to travel, Spain might be your best choice for it has EVERYTHING you look for. In my suggestion, the trip will take 6 days and cover two location: the famous Barcelona and the place which is less populous, Valencia. You can fly in round trip from Toulouse to Barcelona and spend two days in Valencia.

Transportation from Toulouse to Barcelona:
5H40 by bus, cost about 30 euros in round trip.
3H14 by train, cost about 100 euros in round trip.
1H by plane, if you are lucky, the ticket is about 60 euros, the normal price is 200 euros.

Transportation from Barcelona to Valencia:
4h15 by bus, cost about 55euros in round trip.
3H10 by train, cost about 45euros in round trip.
55m by plane, cost about 200euros in round trip.

Accommodation for your stay:
If you want to stay in a hotel, you can use an application called HotelsCombined to compare the price from all the website including Booking, Agoda and etc. If you want to stay in a hostel, you can use an application called hostelworld which give you recommendations only hostel. There are 10 administrative divisions in Barcelona, among which tourism-related accommodation, transportation, food and culture resources are concentrated in: L’Eixample, El Barri Gotic, La Ribera and backpackers’ favorite location: Barcelona Sants Estacio station. In order to make our Barcelona travel more enjoyable, to get better travel support and save time, it is recommended to arrange accommodation in these areas.

Attractions in Barcelona:
Sagrada Família
Sagrada Familia is Barcelona’s most famous Gaudí building, city landmark, and art
treasure. It is Gaudi’s legacy and the longest-built church in the history of modern
architecture in the world.

Opening hours: November – February 9:00-18:00, April – September 9:00-20:00,

Casa Batlló

Tips: If you buy the ticketing on the site, you would have to wait for a long time. It is
recommended to book online in advance in order to save time.

Casa Milà

Parc Güell

Low season: January 1st – March 28th and October 25th – December 31st 8:30-18:15

Others: March 29-May 3 and September 7-October 24, 8:00-20:00 (stop after 19:30).

Attractions in Valencia:
Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias
The main components of the place are: Hemisféric (IMAX cinema), the El Museo de
las Ciencias Príncipe Felipe, and the Palais de las Artes Reina Sofia, Europe’s largest
aquarium which has more than 40,000 marine life (Oceanográfico) and the Golden
Embankment Bridge (Puente l’Assut d’Or).
