At the end of this beautiful peaceful school year, I decided to write about Customer Relationship Management. Nah, I am kidding… Today, I am writing this article in praise of very special friendships.
What marked my time at TBS was, the people. They come from different continents, with different backgrounds, they do not have the same age nor the same religion. They found each other in a classroom in the south of France and then, the journey began.
Somehow, we found out that we only have each other here. We felt that strong connection that made us overcome the challenges of living abroad. But most importantly, we tried to enjoy every moment in this journey and we do not regret it. Let me introduce you to the people who stand up with each other in all circumstances. Let me introduce you to my crew!
Rahavie: She is the definition of resistance and I am certain she will have a bright future because she simply deserves it. I am a person who usually wants to be a leader in a group but when there is Rahavie, no one could be better to do it. She is not a normal one. Believe me, she makes you trust her with your life because she is smart and has a big heart, very strong from the outside and beautifully sensitive from the inside.
Marta: When I met this girl for the first time, honestly, I knew that she is the one. Then, I have been even more surprised by how inspiring and stunning she is. Marta is only 24 years old but she seems to know the most important rule of life: Love each other and enjoy every moment of your life. I cannot mention Marta without talking about her pets love! She is so supportive of the animals’ cause, which made us bond immediately and made me love her more and more.
Kiki: The first rule people is to never trust appearance. Behind the innocent cutie and smart girl who she absolutely is, there is another girl who can beat you easily with her power and confidence, to not use other words. She is full of joy and she has the power to spread it. I always feel happy and peaceful when I am around her because for Kiki: Everything shall pass.
Aslihan: This human being is the queen of surprises. I call her « my hero » because, in all circumstances, she is there for her friends. She is childish and super mature at the same time and this is what makes Aslihan unique. When she dances, she feels the music and follows the rhythm and this is my favourite part from her.
Tanmay: « Heart made of gold » he is simply special. Tanmay is my companion and travel partner, we went together to Barcelona, Bordeaux, Geneva, and Strasbourg. I had enough time to dig inside his personality. If Kiki is full of joy, then Tanmay is full of peace. He can go with any flow you want. He is talented.
Jad: The first thing that gathered us was language: Arabic. But now, I cannot describe how grateful I am to have him in my life and share with him much more than a language. He is my comfort zone in a world full of obstacles. He makes me feel safe. What people do not know about Jad is that he is so compassionate, empathetic, and he has his own means to free his emotions. Trust me, no matter what, he will be able to draw a smile on your face.
Afsheen: If he wants to do something, nothing would stop him because he has always the choice. However, he has also a life passion and deep beliefs. You can see Afsheen from different perspectives but you will not understand him. He loves a thing that gives people divergent thinking (Jad too). Hang out with him is always a fun thing to do; he has this gift of listening! What is common between us is that we both live in our own world.
I am pretty sure that everyone in our class is unique and special in his or her way and I am honoured to have met them all. We did not know when all of this would end; we did not know when would be our last dance, our last session, our last tacos, or our last trip.
Thanks to COVID-19, It all ended suddenly without even a proper goodbye.
At least, we made sure that we will always remember our special and amazing journey in “The Pink City”.
